Job Title: Community & Social Media Strategist

Position Summary

Lindsey Leigh Jewelry is looking for an experienced community & social media associate to oversee all social channels, including new social channel launches, creating assets, writing posts, managing community calendar, diving deep into our analytics, building our affiliate network, forging strong partnerships with the social community, and—most importantly—bringing great, original content ideas to the table. One must be able to interact with consumers through a consistent brand voice and ensure the brand aesthetic and image is being met through all visuals. 

This person must have previous job experience as a community associate in an editorial, fashion, or retail capacity. They must have proven writing skills, a personal interest in social media, a passion for learning, and an entrepreneurial spirit. They also must have an "all-hands-on-deck" mentality—as a growing part of our business, we are all required to take on many jobs and to do them well. This is an area with enormous growth potential.


  • Develop, manage and post the social media content calendar for the brand - including visuals and copy in the brand aesthetic and voice - across our social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  • Create a daily story to connect with social audiences using great copy, images, video and interactions
  • Manage all DMs for the brand in all social channels
  • Capture photography and videography for product and editorial for all social media channels
  • Constantly reach out to the community, developing and managing community building strategies, and always encouraging new users
  • Prepare all reports, analyze results, interpret trends, give insights and recommend improvements on affiliate activities and social media programs
  • Create and execute strategy for affiliate program including recruitment and retention
  • Affiliate marketing includes responding to customer inquiries, generating effective sales leads, tracking customer conversion, and streamlining promotional activities. 
  • Creatively and proactively engage consumers, influencers and advocates across social media to drive brand conversations and advocacy to ensure benchmarks are being met
  • Engage with and utilize key influencers connected to lifestyle/retail/fashion
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the team for insights gathered from the community to continually increase overall community performance. Establish and nurture relationships with social influencers (bloggers, editors, influencers)
  • Develop and enforce the voice, tone and character of your channel, interacting with members and the global conversation
  • Brainstorm innovative ideas/strategies to support brand initiatives with focus on editorial storytelling, influencers and consumer engagement
  • Work directly with all teams to help develop an ongoing communication strategy and shared social / editorial calendar based on marketing objectives and community feedback
  • Work with Ecommerce teams to ensure social media tools (e.g PinIt buttons, Rich Pins, FB pixels) are established and maintained
  • Monitor social media marketing and research trends, algorithms, platforms and technologies


  • 3+ years experience overseeing multiple social media channels, preferably for a lifestyle or fashion brand
  • Education: BS or BA degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field
  • Strong experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Video. Photo and video editing skills
  • Experience with social media management systems, affiliate networks and social media analytics tools including: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Google+, Viraltag, Hootsuite, Curulate, Planoly, etc. along with graphic design platforms
  • Proven ability to engage, connect and build an audience across multiple channels
  • Excellent writing skills, with an eye for proofreading and grammar
  • Experience with photo shoots, general production and making sure all imagery is on point with the brand’s aesthetic 
  • Ability to hit the ground running, take on projects, and identify gaps and fill them with little direction
  • Cultivate and execute all partnerships, major quarterly partnerships, and grow brand awareness
  • Internet and technology savvy with an understanding of chat rooms, blogs, social networking sites, affiliate marketing and consumer communities
  • A team player who is willing to work across departments and happy to educate those around them
